The Story
For this bigger size painting I chose the method of architectural drawing and carried them into a painting which means using the elements of a perspective-view of a space. The dimensions are not determinable and neother is its locality. It seems that the observer moves in a vertical level. He seems to recognize a vanishing point, though spacial localization and the point of view of the spectator remain unclear. The painting creates a kind of zero gravity in an endless virtual architectural space, an ideal space of weightlessness in the broadest meaning of the word. A structure of red lines transfers a certain feeling of red heat.
In this series I worked out of a moment, placing battens and brush strokes in a dynamic act in mostly blues, reds and black of acrylic paint on the canvas and successively set lines to form geometric formations.
