Anatolian Summer - The Original
Anatolian Summer is an unframed original artwork by Coşkun Demirok.
"My paintings are often results of spontaneous, not always consciously actions and they have now and then connections to my memories. This work is a dedication to the hot summer days of my childhood while the sky was always blue and the sun was burning on my skin. When you drove out of the city, you had yellow wheat fields around you. On the way back in the evening the air became cooler and the colors turned into cold ones.
When I finished the surface of this picture I just remembered this impression of the nature. I use oil sticks which leave a thick and sensitive layer on the surface, so this kind of painting becomes similar to an art object." – Coşkun Demirok
Created in 2020, this 70 × 50 cm piece was produced using acrylic and oil pastels on canvas.
